The Eleventh PRADS Symposium will be held in 2010 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  

COPPE/UFRJ, the Graduate School of Engineering of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro is very proud to host the Eleventh Edition of this traditional Symposium. 

Rio is a cosmopolitan city ideal for international meetings. Home to more than 6 million inhabitants, Rio has fantastic weather, savory cuisine and hospitable people. Corcovado, Sugar-Loaf Hill, beaches, forests, and many other places are part of the natural beauty of Rio. Christ Redeemer, one of the new 7 Wonders of the World, old forts, many museums, churches, and many historical and cultural sites and activities together with the natural beauty make Rio the Wonderful City. 

Besides the natural beauty, historical and cultural spot, some of the best Brazilian Universities and Research Centers are located in Rio. Furthermore, Campos Basin, the largest offshore production region in Brazil with intense engineering activities is located near to Rio de Janeiro. 

Therefore, we would like to invite and encourage researchers, naval architects and engineers to participate of this Symposium contributing to increase the knowledge in areas associated with the design of ships, offshore structures and other floating structures.
