Places to visit in Rio:

Corcovado
This is one of the main beuty spots in the city, standing 2.330 feet above sea level and providing a sweeping panoramic view of sea and mountain, a world famous vista. In 2007 became one of the new seven wonders of the world!

Sugar Loaf
This natural symbol can be seen at the entrance to Guanabara Bay. There are two stages in the cable car trip to the top of the rock. The first is from the station at Praia Vermelha to Urca Hill, and the second links Urca Hill to the top of Sugar Loaf, 1.300 feet high.

Copacabana Beach
This is the signature beach. A wide expanse of sand, plenty of space for sport, the side walk busy day and night, with the early birds doing their jogging before sunrise and the stage for many major events, it is the show-beach of the Marvelous City, and measures 4.5km from Leme to the end of Copacabana.

Ipanema Beach
The beauy of the glistening white sand, the emerald sea and the clumps of palm trees is breathtaking. Continuing from Ipanema, Leblon beach has the backdrop of the Dois Irmãos mountain, kiosks all along and beautiful people on the sidewalk..

Botanic Garden
The gardens were created in 1808 and are among the ten most important botanical gardens in the world. There are 7.200 species of plants and impressive avenues of Imperial Palms.

Maracanã Stadium
The temple of football. The biggest stadium in the world. Keep your eyes peeled for the games which include some of the main teams in the country.
